1. Who We Are

MucXic is a music discovery, artist self-management, promotion, playlist, wallet, creator collaboration, and industry-connection platform for artists, listeners, creators, and music professionals.

MUCXIC DISTRIBUTION LLP is currently a name reserved with URSB and its registration approval is pending; it is not represented by this Policy as an approved or registered LLP. Operator, registration-number, registered-office, and formal data-controller details will be updated after registration.

This Policy applies when you visit MucXic, create an account, upload music or media, use search or playlists, buy or download content, join campaigns, use wallet features, contact support, or interact with other MucXic services.

2. Information You Provide

We collect information you choose to provide, including usernames, names, email addresses, passwords, profile details, artist bios, social links, contact details, account preferences, support messages, contest entries, and other account information.

Artists may provide songs, albums, cover artwork, banners, profile photos, release details, rights confirmations, license or ownership proof, collaborator information, pricing, campaign details, promotional materials, and public artist metadata.

Creators, promoters, and industry professionals may provide profile information, service descriptions, campaign submissions, proof of work, social handles, payout details, and verification information.

You are responsible for ensuring that information and files you provide are accurate, lawful, relevant, and supplied with any permission, notice, or consent required for information about another person. MucXic remains responsible for handling information in its control according to this Policy and applicable law.

3. Information Collected Automatically

When you use MucXic, we may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, device type, browser, operating system, pages viewed, search activity, clicks, playlist activity, song interactions, download activity, referral links, approximate location, date and time of access, error logs, and security events.

We may use cookies, local storage, session tools, analytics, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect accounts, understand feature usage, improve performance, and measure campaigns.

4. Payments, Wallet, and Transaction Data

If you buy downloads, support artists, run campaigns, receive creator payments, use wallet features, or request payouts, we may process transaction references, payment status, amounts, currencies, phone numbers, provider names, payout details, wallet balances, invoices, receipts, fraud checks, and related records.

Payment processors, banks, mobile money providers, and other payment partners may collect and process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. MucXic does not need to store full card details where a payment provider handles them directly.

Because wallet information is sensitive, MucXic may require fresh password confirmation, identity checks, anti-fraud review, or other security steps before showing wallet data, processing withdrawals, or allowing sensitive account actions.

5. Public Content and Sharing

Public profile information, artist pages, song pages, albums, cover art, public playlists, campaign pages, contest activity, and shared links may be visible to other users, visitors, search engines, social platforms, and external preview tools.

When a song or page is shared, third-party apps may display public metadata such as title, artist name, cover art, description, and link preview. Those third parties may cache previews or apply their own privacy practices.

Private or restricted media, such as license documents, verification files, reports, or sensitive support records, should not be treated as public content unless MucXic clearly marks them as public or you choose to publish them.

6. How We Use Information

We use information to operate, protect, and improve MucXic, including to:

• Create, authenticate, manage, and secure accounts.
• Host music, artwork, profiles, playlists, campaigns, and public pages.
• Process downloads, payments, wallet actions, creator claims, payouts, receipts, and refunds where applicable.
• Run search, recommendations, analytics, campaign reporting, artist dashboards, and listener experiences.
• Review uploads, rights claims, professional connections, campaigns, creator submissions, contests, and support requests.
• Detect fraud, fake engagement, abuse, rights violations, payment misuse, security threats, and policy violations.
• Send service messages, account alerts, password reset emails, receipts, campaign updates, artist notifications, and support responses.
• Improve design, performance, content discovery, mobile usability, and platform reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, and protect users, artists, partners, and MucXic.

7. Legal Bases Where Required

Where privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, MucXic may rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligations, fraud prevention, safety, and protection of rights.

Examples include using your information to provide the service you requested, secure the platform, process payments, send required account notices, respond to support requests, honor your choices, review rights complaints, and meet accounting or legal obligations.

8. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

• Service providers that help with hosting, storage, email, analytics, security, customer support, media processing, payments, and fraud prevention.
• Payment processors, banks, mobile money providers, payout partners, and tax or accounting service providers when needed for transactions.
• Artists, creators, campaign participants, or professional service providers where sharing is needed to deliver a requested feature, campaign, service, or collaboration.
• Rights owners, complainants, uploaders, legal advisers, or authorities when needed to review copyright, fraud, safety, or legal claims.
• Law enforcement, regulators, courts, or government bodies where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the platform.
• Another organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of all or part of MucXic, subject to reasonable privacy protections.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging it for money. If MucXic ever introduces practices that privacy law treats as a sale or targeted advertising share, this Policy should be updated with the required choices.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, export, restrict, object to, or withdraw consent for certain personal information.

You may update some profile and account details through your account settings. You may also contact MucXic support for privacy requests, account concerns, rights complaints, or deletion requests.

Some information may be retained where needed for security, legal compliance, payment records, fraud prevention, dispute handling, backup integrity, rights enforcement, or legitimate platform operation.

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide MucXic, maintain accounts, host public content, process payments, support artists, run campaigns, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with law, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary by data type. Public artist content may remain visible until removed or disabled. Transaction, wallet, rights, verification, security, and legal records may be kept longer where required or reasonably necessary.

11. Security

MucXic uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect user information, including account authentication, access controls, review processes, protected routes for sensitive media, and security checks for sensitive actions.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for choosing a strong password, keeping login details private, signing out on shared devices, and contacting MucXic immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

12. International Use

MucXic may be accessed from different countries, and service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from your local laws.

Where required, MucXic should use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and update this Policy if specific transfer frameworks or regional notices become necessary.

13. Children and Young Users

MucXic is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where doing so is prohibited by law. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact MucXic so we can review and take appropriate action.

Young artists, creators, or listeners may need permission from a parent or legal guardian before creating an account, uploading content, joining campaigns, making purchases, receiving payouts, or using wallet features, depending on applicable law.

MucXic may link to social platforms, payment providers, creator tools, professional service providers, analytics tools, music services, and other third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy.

15. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as MucXic grows or as laws, features, payment methods, campaign tools, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.

If a change materially affects how we use personal information, MucXic should provide additional notice where required by law.
