Copyright Complaint Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026. This policy explains how rights complaints and uploader responses are handled on MucXic.
1. Before submitting a complaint
Confirm that you own the relevant right or are authorized to act for the owner. Consider whether the uploader has a license, permission, or another lawful basis. A complaint must target specific material; broad requests to remove an account or artist without identifying the disputed material may be rejected.
2. Information required
Use the report option on the disputed song page where available. For artwork, profiles, albums, campaign material, multiple works, or content you cannot access, use the contact page. Include:
- Your full legal name, organization (if applicable), email address, telephone number, and preferred contact method.
- A description of the original work and proof that you own the right or are authorized to act, such as contracts, licenses, master records, release records, source files, or registration evidence.
- The exact MucXic URL, song or album name, profile, campaign, or other identifier for every disputed item.
- An explanation of the right allegedly infringed and why the platform use is unauthorized.
- Good-faith declaration: a statement that you honestly believe the disputed use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or applicable law.
- A statement that the information supplied is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorized to act, followed by your physical or electronic signature and the date.
Do not submit passwords, complete payment credentials, private keys, or unrelated identity documents. MucXic may request narrowly tailored additional evidence through a protected channel.
3. Review and temporary action
MucXic may acknowledge a complaint, assign or record a case reference, request missing information, preserve relevant records, and temporarily disable or limit access to disputed material while reviewing it. A temporary restriction is precautionary and is not a final finding of infringement.
MucXic may reject complaints that are incomplete, unverifiable, fraudulent, abusive, unrelated to intellectual-property rights, or that do not identify content available through the platform.
4. Response by the uploader
Where appropriate and legally permitted, MucXic may notify the uploader and share the substance of the allegation and information needed to answer it. The uploader may respond through the contact page with the case reference, identification of the removed material, proof of ownership, license, permission, or other lawful use, and a signed statement that the response is accurate and made in good faith.
MucXic may restore, keep restricted, or permanently remove material after reviewing the available evidence. Complex ownership disputes may require an agreement between the parties or a decision from a competent authority or court; MucXic does not adjudicate private ownership disputes as a court.
5. Repeat or serious infringement
MucXic may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate users responsible for repeated or serious infringement, taking account of credible complaints, responses, reversals, court or authority decisions, severity, and attempts to evade enforcement. False, forged, retaliatory, or knowingly misleading complaints or responses may also result in restrictions and legal referral.
6. Privacy, records, and authorities
Complaint materials are handled under the Privacy Policy. Information may be shared with the complainant, uploader, advisers, service providers, regulators, URSB, law enforcement, or courts where reasonably necessary or legally required. Records may be retained for dispute handling, repeat-infringer review, fraud prevention, accounting, evidence preservation, and legal compliance.
7. Urgent and formal notices
Use the contact page and clearly identify the message as a copyright complaint or uploader response. Court orders, regulator notices, immediate safety concerns, and time-sensitive preservation requests should be clearly marked as urgent. Submitting a complaint does not prevent either party from contacting URSB, law enforcement, a court, or a qualified lawyer.
